Welcome to Another Anime Convention's Cosplay and Masquerade page. Below are our numerous events planned this year and general information about Cosplay.
What is cosplay?
Cosplay is a Japanese hobby of dressing up like Anime/Manga and Video Game characters. Although recently it has included many other media forms, such as movie and literature characters. Cosplay has become a vastly spreading hobby here in the states. If you have ever been to a convention there is no doubt you have seen at least a hundred Ninjas running around. For those of you who have never attended a convention, you are in for a treat. We welcome and encourage all family friendly cosplay here at AAC. However please read the weapons policy before attending, we would hate to have to take away a prop you have been working on for a half year.
What is acceptable coslay?
Here at AAC all pg-13 cosplay is acceptable cosplay. Hall cosplay can include whatever your heart desires, Harry Potter, Avatar, even Internet Memes. However please note that only Anime/Manga/Video Game cosplay is permitted in the masquerade. We would also ask that you keep costumes hall friendly, as our convention space is limited.
Photoshoots & Gathering
As of the moment we do not have a designated photo shoot/gathering area. We ask that all gathering keep other attendees in mind, please do not block hallways, doors, or elevators. Staff members may ask you to move your gathering, please do so without controversy.
Cosplay Events
This year, AAC will have a large number of events by, for, and about cosplay and cosplayers. Expect everything from costume contests to a giant game of human chess. This page will be updated and events will be added to it as information is available.

Another Anime Convention is proud to present is fourth annual Masquerade contest. This is an event showcasing cosplayers and their carefully made costumes and Skits. In the past years we were graced with a number of amazing costumes, skits, and scantily clad Final Fantasy VII men. Hopefully this year we can expect the same and even more, with the exception of less scantily clad men. We welcome all Anime, Manga, and Japanese video game costumes. Registration will be open shortly. Please read all the rules before entering.

Rook to E7, Kenshin take him out! An epic battle ensues and when the dust clears, white has captured another piece. Cosplay Chess pins two teams against each other in a do or die match to the death where the team who manages to corner the opponent's King is the victor. This year will be Cute & Cuddly vs Dark & Spooky.

Sephiroth, against his will, sits opposite a screen where Aeris, Haruhi Suzumiya, and Chii wait expectantly for the next question. Their answers will determine if they're going home alone or if they get a shot with the silver haired stud for a night on the town. The cosplay dating game incorporates the old cheesiness of everyone's favorite game show with the flair of cosplay, giving everyone a chance to get a date with their favorite character.
