Ah, my apologies, I think my reply was misconstrued. I meant "real life (your work at GenCon) takes precedence over volunteer con work (being artist alley head at AAC)" I never doubted that the trip to GenCon was not a pleasure trip, nor that it was not important to him. Con
staffing is a volunteer position.
Still, since I had to look up what the heck GenCon was, and when it was, his announcement that we'd get a reply after that convention wasn't too helpful to me. I know many professional artists who spend weeks in serious prep work for big cons, so 'prepping' to me could've been five days, or fifteen.
Time frames are helpful to all the rest of us who take our work at Artist Alleys seriously, after all!
