Meet the Fan-works Theater Staff!

Postby drewaconclusion » Mon Jun 04, 2012 7:28 pm

Hello everyone out there in forum-land!

I'm drewaconclusion, one of the staff members for the Fan-works Theater. You may remember me from Extreme Iron Editor last year or perhaps my videos, "Does This Look Infected?" from last year's AMV contest or "She Loves That Rock And Roll" & "Undead Obsessions" from Anime Boston earlier this year. Anyhow, I'll be heading up some horror and gorehound programming at the Fan-works Theater. I hope to see you there!

Hi, everyone. I'm John (aka GloryQuestor), and I was invited to join the staff of AAC this year. I've been creating music videos since 2004, winning a few awards here and there, and remain a huge fan of AMVs. I feel that my videos trend towards many different music video genres, but many have said I am more of a romantic/dramatic video editor. I guess they're right.

Nowadays I do a lot of panels and staffing for Pittsburgh's Tekkoshocon Japanese culture convention and their sister conventions, Sangawa Project and KuroKiiro Festival; Anime Weekend Atlanta; and now AAC. When I'm not creating videos, I'm usually catching up on my vast PC & console gaming library, watching streamed anime, or spending time with friends at the local gaming venue.

This will be my first time going to AAC, and my first time going to New Hampshire. I can't wait to meet and greet everyone at AAC this year. :D

Hey, everyone, I'm Mike (aka LantisEscudo), and I've been attending AAC since 2008. I'm the relative AMV geezer on the FWT staff, since I've been making AMVs since 2001. I'm primarily a Drama/Romance and Fun/Upbeat editor, and I've been a participant in Extreme Iron Editor all four years it's been running (winning in 2010), though I've stepped aside in favor of new blood this year. I've also had a number of videos in AAC's contest, including last year's Theme Category winner.

I'm the staffer that brings the big archive of videos to the contest (2.3 TB and growing, feel free to bring me more if you want them included), and may also be providing the playback computer for the theater (if I can get the parts gathered and assembled in time). In the theater, I'll be running at least the block of Alternate Openings, and probably several more.

We've got a great weekend of programming taking shape for you all, and I hope to see everyone stop in and catch some great videos!

And I'm Justin (BasharOfTheAges). I run this here room, and have been working with AAC since about Friday afternoon of year 1 (2006). I started out helping dokool run AMV stuff at the con, and have been in charge of the AMV programming at AAC since 2008. I tend to edit wildly inappropriate comedy videos and pretentious arthouse pieces with the occasional Action or Drama video thrown in.

I'm very thankful to Lisa and the rest of the AAC staff to have this new venue to entertain you all in our new home in Manchester. Things are shaping up to be an amazing weekend of programming. I hope to see you all there.
