I saw that there was a Worst Anime Ever thread and decided to see what people think are the BEST animes ever! As for me, here's what I think:

Probably the classics, Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure FTW!!! Even the dub of Sailor Moon is awesome^^ (even though it's horrible....) so nostalgic~

My vote goes to Ranma 1/2 and Ronin Warriors for Classics. FLCL and Gurren Lagann for newer stuff.

Best ever, like ground breaking and bring life to the industry best ever?

Sailor Moon brought all of us back to the alter of anime
Evangelion pushed the bar
Princess Mononoke made those aware of it who never even considered watching before.

As far as doing well to break molds I think Beck does well in some respects and so does Deathnote, and I thank Azumanga Daiho for introducing me to the slice of life anime theme
