- Cues: October 8th
Sound & Music Options
- Fully Prerecorded skit - These are fully prerecorded and mixed by the contestant. Please note, our tech staff may or may not approve your audio. If your audio is not approved we will send you the reasons it was rejected, please feel free to re submit the track. Tracks may only be submitted three times. If your track is not approved after the third try we will suggest the second option.
- Background Music -You may submit music, or a mixed track for play back behind a live mic. This option allows for a mixed skit without prerecording the vocals. This is the best option if you cannot record your audio together or are not sure about the quality of the recording. You may be using handheld microphones, so please plan your skit accordingly.
- Live Microphones Only - This option is for the use of only the microphones. You may switch categories before the convention, however you will NOT be allowed to submit music at the time of the con. Microphones may be handheld, so please plan your skit accordingly.
Lighting Options
- Normal - The technical staff will use their discretion to determine the lighting cues and color choices that will match the action or content of your skit or walk-on. This is the default option.
- Custom - The group or individual performing in the skit may work with the technical department to choose lighting cues. Options include wash or multi-zone spot colors, follow spots in any color (up to two at any given time), or the use of blacklights. Please note that this will require clear communication with both the Masquerade and Technical Operations departments.
- Simple - The stage lights will come up with the start of your skit, and dim down at the end. The color will be white. No other action will be taken by the technical department.
Music or Skits can be sent along with your confirmation number to masquerade@anotheranimecon.com as an attachment. If you have any special sound or lighting cues, we can accommodate you, but only if it is organized and sent to masquerade@anotheranimecon.com by November 10th 2009. The sound files will be previewed by our tech crew and given the ok. If there is a problem with the quality or the recording the masquerade coordinator will contact the contestant.
